In Nigeria, it is customary to use resumes for literally every job application not related to academia or research. They are intended to immediately bring your appropriate skills and previous experiences into the spotlight for prospective hiring managers.

A resume lists the more important facts from your work history and skills that can be directly related to the job you're applying for, so employers will quickly see why you might just be a good fit.
Key Differences

1. Leader:CVs are longer & more detailed  resumes concentrate on shorter lengths.
2. Uses: You would use a CV for academics or research jobs, where more information is required. Save a CV for academic or research positions, the rest of your job applications should be in resume form.
3. Format: Your CV is a summary of your career history, while your resume summarizes the most relevant information for that specific job.

It was October 2010 when I joined a very popular school in my area. The school was well-known, and I was excited to be a part of it.
